Quarter 4: Lesson 1

Global context: Orientation in Time and Space

Key Concept: Change

Related Concept: Composition, Visual Culture

Statement Of Inquiry: Changing the boundaries of expected relationships can inspire unexpected composition.

We are back to our first class of our final quarter, and in this lesson we were given cut outs of an image, and from there we created our own image. And we wrote what we think was a photo montage, and then we saw what our real image was.

In my opinion, a montage is constructed from different types of photographic images. That you can create one image with a variety of others. You can use one image, that can mean something completely different in the whole montage. Various smaller pictures join together to form one large one.
